Tim started on his latest cycle of chemo a week and a half ago. Each cycle is 3 weeks long. Tim feels pretty sick at least for the first two weeks after chemo. The third week is usually better. Then, the cycle begins again. Just before his last chemo treatment, Tim had 5 liters of fluid tapped from his abdomen -- which underscores how uncomfortable and miserable he has been from his ascites (fluid build-up). It looks like the fluid will continue to build up, so that means Tim will have to get tapped every 3-4 weeks.
Paul's latest lab results were very encouraging. His level of Myeloma-protein was undetectable -- meaning the number of cancer cells still remaining is so low right now that the few remaining cells can't be detected with the current tests available. Paul will continue to be monitored monthly to see if his cancer begins to grow again.
